چکیده

In the United States, coal consumption in last 12 years has declined from 1,045,140 million short tons 2007 to 539,420 2019, a decrease of almost 50%. During that period number electric power generators 1,470 738 accounting for 21% capacity. An even more dramatic use occurred Western Europe. This significant reduction and concomitant closure mines coal-burning plants will result substantially cleaner air, reductions respiratory problems such as asthma, less heart disease, fewer hospitalizations, other health benefits, well occupational silicosis Coal Workers’ Pneumoconiosis (Black Lung Disease). However, China, India, Russia several Asian countries some projections indicate an increase production use. situations, is burned old, highly polluting plants. these regions impacts could worsen. addition, millions people still burn their homes resulting maximal exposure pollutants arsenic, selenium, fluorine, mercury released combustion.

Environmental impacts of Aghdarband coal mine: pollution by heavy metals

Aghdarband coal mine, located in NE of Iran, with annual coal and waste production capacity of about twenty million and six thousand tons, respectively, causes the increase of the concentration of some heavy metals in the soil and surrounded sediments. This paper deals with geochemical distribution and environmental effects of the heavy metals on the sediments around the mine, using geochemical...

Coal hydrogenation and environmental health.

Planning of coal hydrogenation processes, such as liquifaction and gasification, requires consideration of public health implications. Commercial plants will require coal quantities greater than or equal to 20,000 tons/day and the large size of these plants calls for careful consideration of the potential health hazards from the wastes and products of such processes. Analysis of pollution poten...
